PARENTS FOR GROWN-UPS

About
Losing a parent, growing up without a mother or father and/or growing up in foster care are some of the most difficult experiences a child can endure. "Parents For Grown-Ups" is a mission-driven, mobile-first platform that connects adults without parents to nurturing, vetted peers, mentors and adult figures who can fill that missing role—not as a replacement, but as a source of connection, healing, and emotional scaffolding. The platform is more than just a matching app. It’s a multi-layered system of care, including:
●A Bumble/Hinge styled matching app to help users connect with mentors, mother/father figures, and peers
●A virtual community that serves as a digital gathering space for shared healing and emotional growth
● Programs of in-person events that deepen those bonds in the real world and build lasting chosen families
With 20+ million American adults reporting a lack of emotional or physical parental support, the time for this innovation is now.
Parentless adults make up some of the highest percentages of people with emotional and social disorders and are significantly more likely to be incarcerated and repeat dangerous familiarly cycles.
Our vision is to create a scalable, safe, and human-centered model that helps adults not just survive, but thrive—with someone by their side.
Parents For Grown-Ups seeks to alleviate some of the stresses on social workers, therapists and government entities that become responsible for parentless adults. Users will have access to a unique community of individuals who share similar experiences and can provide guidance and support.
